Martin Garrix had no idea being a DJ was so dangerous.
Disaster struck on Friday, May 25, when the 23-year-old producer suffered an ankle injury while performing at Omnia Nightclub. The set was cut short when Martin reportedly jumped from the stage. He soldiered on with the injury for a short time, but the pain ultimately got the better of Garrix, forcing him to end the show and seek medical attention.
He apologized for fans on Instagram, posting a shocking video update from the back of an ambulance on the way to the hospital. Although updates have been scarce, Martin Garrix (whose real name is real name Martijn Gerard Garritsen) posted a picture of him relaxing in a pool on Twitter, noting that he "feels good" and that the "ankle is also recovering, I think."
He may be off his feet for now, but Garrix will return on June 29 when he returns to Omnia Nightclub. Future events include June 30, July 14 and August 18 at Wet Republic, as well as July 13, August 17 and August 30 at Omnia Nightclub. Book your tables now!
