Is Hakkasan Group up for sale?
That's the question on everybody's mind after a recent Bloomberg report suggested that Abu Dhabi-based Alliance International Investment is in talks to sell the global restaurant-and-nightclub operator.
This comes mere weeks after Los Angeles-based The H.wood Group separated from Hakkasan Group, buying back a significant equity stake and reclaiming global rights to its portfolio of restaurants and nightclubs.
The recent shake-up has drawn interest from the Spain-based hospitality company Pacha Group and investment firm Certares, though no final decisions have been made and the talks may not lead to a sale.
This would be a big change for Hakkasan Group, who manages some of the biggest nightclubs and beach clubs in Las Vegas, including Omnia, Jewel, 1 OAK, Wet Republic, Bare Pool and, of course, Hakkasan Nightclub.
This is not the first news we've heard about a possible sale. Earlier this year, reports indicated that Hakkasan Group was looking to merge with SBE in Los Angeles, though it was later confirmed that negotiations fell through.
