Hakkasan Restaurant is the Cantonese dining room at the base of Hakkasan Las Vegas at MGM Grand, the five-level building that opened in 2013 with two floors of dining below The Studio, the Hakkasan Lounge and Hakkasan Nightclub. The main dining room is on the first level, divided by the latticed woodwork screens known as the Cage, with the main bar lit in Hakkasan's signature blue.
Start with the Crispy Duck Salad with pomelo, pine nuts and shallots and a round of dim sum, such as the Hakka Basket, shumai or the Wagyu Beef Pumpkin Puff. From there the kitchen's larger plates take over: the Signature Peking Duck served in two courses, the Black Pepper Beef Filet with merlot sauce, the Roasted Chilean Seabass with honey and the Wok-Fried Maine Lobster in golden fragrance sauce.
Dinner starts at 5pm most nights and at 6pm on Sundays, and weekends open earlier with the Endless Dim Sum Brunch from 10:30am on Saturdays and Sundays. At the bar, the cocktail list includes the Hakkatini and the Black Lotus, the house espresso martini. The dress code is smart and elegant.
