Catch

Description

Located on the ground floor of Scottsdale Fashion Square, Catch Scottsdale opened its doors on September 19, 2025, as the latest outpost from Catch Hospitality Group. The brand launched in New York’s Meatpacking District in 2011, founded by Mark Birnbaum and Eugene Remm, later partnering with Tilman Fertitta to fuel expansion. What began as a single venue blending Asian-influenced seafood with a high-energy scene quickly grew into a celebrity favorite, attracting crowds with shareable plates and rooftop vibes. Outposts followed in Los Angeles, Las Vegas at Aria, Aspen, Miami Beach, and Dallas, each adapting the core formula: premium ingredients, interactive presentations, and an atmosphere that bridges dinner and nightlife. In Scottsdale, the seventh location fits seamlessly among luxury retailers, drawing locals, visitors, and groups for bachelor parties seeking elevated dining before exploring nearby bars or events.

The 12,000-square-foot space, designed by Rockwell Group, uses a West Coast palette of terracotta, auburn, limestone, wood lattice, and tile to create flow between areas. The main dining room features open seating with booths and tables that accommodate pairs or larger parties, while a central bar anchors the action with bespoke martini carts rolling through. Lighting stays dim and warm, paired with a playlist of upbeat tracks that rises in volume as the night progresses. Service stands out for its attentiveness—staff anticipate needs, explain sourcing from Tokyo’s Toyosu market, and perform tableside finishes like searing Wagyu on hot rocks. The layout encourages mingling, making it suitable for bachelor parties where conversations spill across tables, or quieter corners for business dinners. Dinner-only hours mean the room fills quickly, building to a moderate noise level that keeps energy high without drowning dialogue.

The globally inspired menu emphasizes shareable seafood, sushi, and steak, with many dishes carried over from flagship locations. Starters include Truffle Sashimi, thin slices of hamachi or tuna drizzled with truffle ponzu and chives, priced around $24. Crispy shrimp with spicy mayo follows as a crowd pleaser at similar entry points. Sushi rolls range $19-35, led by the signature Catch Roll—lobster, crab, and avocado topped with miso honey. Hot appetizers like crunchy rice cakes with tuna tartare hit $19-33. Pastas feature Spicy Gigli, curly noodles in a chile-tomato sauce, while mains spotlight Cantonese Lobster in black bean sauce or whole branzino prepared tableside ($39-89 for seafood entrees). Steak selections, including Japanese A5 Wagyu seared on hot rocks, climb $64-195. Sides and salads round out sharing, with gluten-free and vegan adaptations available. Cocktails run $17-20, backed by a wine list of global bottles.

Expect $200-400 per person for a full experience with drinks, aligning with its positioning among premium Scottsdale restaurants. The cost reflects daily imports and theatrical elements, delivering value through portion size and presentation.
