The Best Indian Restaurants in Bangkok
A ranked 2026 guide to Bangkok's best Indian restaurants, led by Gaggan Anand and a wave of Michelin-starred progressive and coastal Indian kitchens.
Why we wrote this guide
Bangkok has become, improbably to some, one of the most exciting cities in the world for Indian cooking. Not the curry-house kind, but a progressive, chef-driven movement led by Gaggan Anand and a cohort of ambitious kitchens that have collected Michelin stars and stacked up entries on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants. These are rooms where Indian technique meets Thai produce, where menus arrive as theatre, and where the definition of Indian food is being pushed forward rather than preserved in aspic.
This guide ranks the best Indian restaurants in Bangkok in 2026 by real search demand, so the order reflects what diners are actually looking for rather than any single critic's list. The range runs from a bucket-list, twenty-plus-course spectacle to a two-star progressive tasting menu, an eco-minded urban-farm kitchen, relaxed modern coastal Indian, and even a high-energy Indian-Mexican mash-up. Whether you want the city's hottest trophy booking or an easygoing dinner of vibrant regional plates, there is a table here for it.
One practical note before you book. Outside Las Vegas the restaurant reservation sits with the venue, not with us. We point you to the right room and hand you off to the restaurant or its booking partner to secure the seat.

The ranked guide
1. Gaggan (Phrom Phong)
Gaggan Anand runs the single biggest name in Bangkok dining from his Phrom Phong flagship, where a menu of more than twenty courses unfolds less like a meal than a food-led operatic performance. Each course is represented on the menu by an emoji, and diners are pushed to eat with their hands, even to lick the plate, in Anand's ongoing project to disrupt and reinvent fine dining.
The accolades match the ambition. Gaggan topped Asia's 50 Best Restaurants in 2025, a record fifth time at the summit, and though it eased to number 3 in 2026 it remains the city's highest-priority progressive Indian booking, now also holding a Michelin star awarded in the 2026 guide. It is the table serious diners plan a Bangkok trip around.

Best for: a bucket-list, theatrical tasting-menu night.
2. Gaa (Sukhumvit)
Gaa is the restaurant of chef Garima Arora, who in 2024 became the first female Indian chef to hold two Michelin stars. Founded in 2017 and set in a restored decades-old wooden house in the Sukhumvit area, it channels a personal, exploratory vision of Indian cooking that is Indian to its core while celebrating Thailand's less-heralded ingredients.
Diners choose between a ten or fourteen-course tasting menu that changes quarterly, built on classic Indian techniques, notably the extraction of umami from vegetables, applied to locally sourced produce. The result is bold, playful and in constant evolution, and the room was ranked number 65 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2025. It is one of the city's most inventive Indian tables.

Best for: a refined, inventive Indian tasting menu.
3. Haoma (Sukhumvit 31)
Haoma, on Sukhumvit 31, is chef Deepanker "DK" Khosla's one-Michelin-star, Green-Star restaurant built around a zero-waste urban farm, the first Bangkok restaurant to earn a Green Star and, remarkably, the only Indian restaurant in the world to hold both a Michelin Star and a Michelin Green Star. The site works as a closed loop, with a regenerative farm, rainwater harvesting, in-house composting and rain-fed fish ponds supplying the kitchen.
Khosla calls his cooking neo-Indian, drawing on the food of India from before colonization and on his own journeys across the country, from his hometown of Allahabad outward. The progressive menu is deeply personal and genuinely sustainable, making Haoma a landmark of eco-minded fine dining in Bangkok.

Best for: eco-minded, story-driven Indian fine dining.
4. Inddee (Langsuan)
Inddee sits on Soi Langsuan near Lumphini Park, in a beautifully renovated century-old building that gives the room a luxurious, tranquil and intimate feel. In the 2026 Thailand guide it was promoted from one to two Michelin stars, a rapid ascent that has made it one of the city's most talked-about tables.
The kitchen takes diners on a journey across India through a set menu of around ten courses, rich in visual artistry and storytelling, with dishes such as Carabinero prawn evoking Goa, pickled vegetables recalling a harsh Himalayan winter, and Patra paired with Hokkaido scallops that nod to the chef's Japanese experience. Its latest chapter of the menu sealed the jump to two stars.

Best for: a special-occasion progressive Indian tasting.
5. Jhol (Sukhumvit 18)
Jhol, on Sukhumvit 18 near Asok, is the modern coastal-Indian restaurant of chef Hari Nayak, who trained at the Culinary Institute of America and cooked at New York's three-Michelin-star Daniel. The menu spotlights the cuisines of nine coastal Indian states, from Gujarat and Goa in the west to Kerala and Tamil Nadu in the south and West Bengal in the east, cooked with seasonal Thai produce.
Seafood leads, but signatures roam happily across stuffed chicken wings, pork belly vindaloo and jackfruit kofta. The room is warm and relaxed, with white walls and colorful tiled floors that lend an easy elegance, and it was ranked number 17 on BK's Top Tables 2026. It is the pick for a livelier, a la carte take on contemporary Indian.

Best for: a relaxed, a la carte modern-Indian dinner.
6. Gaggan at Louis Vuitton (Ploenchit)
Gaggan at Louis Vuitton is an ultra-exclusive concept from Gaggan Anand, set inside the Louis Vuitton store at Gaysorn Amarin on Ploenchit Road and opened in 2024 as the first combined Louis Vuitton retail-and-restaurant in Southeast Asia. Just ten Italian-marble tables occupy one of the city's most coveted rooms.
The seasonal menu, exclusive to this address, is built around the five S's, sweet, sour, salty, spicy and surprise, and channels Anand's progressive Indian sensibility into a jewel-box luxury setting. The room climbed to number 8 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants in 2026, and seats are among the hardest to secure in Bangkok.

Best for: an ultra-exclusive luxury dinner.
7. Ms. Maria & Mr. Singh (Ekamai)
Ms. Maria & Mr. Singh is Gaggan Anand's high-energy second concept in Ekamai, opened in 2020 and built on a playful fiction: a love story between the Mexican Ms. Maria and the Indian Mr. Singh, mirroring Anand and his Mexican wife. The result is a maximalist, richly spiced blend of Mexican and Indian flavors in a lively, colorful room.
The kitchen sends out bold, shareable plates such as local crab curry with paneer quesadillas, papdi chaat and shredded pork vindaloo wraps, food designed to be fun as much as refined. Michelin-recommended and ranked number 99 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2025, it is the antidote to a hushed tasting-menu evening.
See Ms. Maria & Mr. Singh.
Best for: a lively, playful group dinner.
