One Michelin star inside a modern villa in Thao Dien, Ho Chi Minh City.
CieL holds one Michelin star in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Vietnam and sits on Street No. 50, off the main road in An Khanh Ward, on the Thao Dien side of the river. The dining room is set inside a modern villa: a ground-floor counter looks into the open kitchen against a garden backdrop, while the floor above takes a cooler, more minimal turn.
The kitchen fuses French technique with Vietnamese influence across an evolving tasting menu, and Michelin categorizes the cooking as Innovative. The guide's most recent inspection, in mid-2026, singled out a fish maw and custard course as a highlight, alongside thoughtful wine pairings built to match each course.
The room is small enough that Michelin lists it as suited to a solo seat at the counter or a chef's table booking, and that scale is the point: this is a restaurant built around a handful of tables, not a large room. Michelin also places it in its top price tier, in keeping with a tasting-menu format built on sourcing over volume.
Service runs 17:30 to 23:00, Tuesday through Sunday, closed on Mondays.
