Cuc Gach Quan · Restaurant · Saigon
Home cooking in a restored house on Dang Tat, in Tan Dinh.
Cuc Gach Quan occupies a restored old house on Dang Tat in Tan Dinh, north of the District 1 core, and it has been one of the city's most-loved rooms for years. The building is the draw as much as the food: timber, tile, courtyards and small rooms instead of one open dining floor, with mismatched furniture throughout.
The cooking is Vietnamese home food: the dishes a family would actually cook, made carefully and served in generous shared portions. Ordering is communal, which suits a table of four to eight better than a table of two.
The house is genuinely popular and the small-room layout keeps capacity limited even though the building itself is large. Cuc Gach Quan holds a Bib Gourmand distinction in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Vietnam.
Service runs 09:00 to 23:30 daily, one of the longest windows of any restaurant we carry here. Cuc Gach Quan takes reservations through PasGo - use the booking button on this page. Ask for a courtyard or upper-room table instead of the ground floor, which is the busiest and least atmospheric part of the house.
