Vietnamese cooking in Ho Chi Minh City runs from a Michelin-starred reinvention of street food to a colonial house serving home cooking by the shared plate. This guide ranks the nine Vietnamese restaurants that matter most in 2026, spanning District 1, District 3, Tan Dinh and Thao Dien.
The range includes five Michelin-recognized kitchens - one star, Bib Gourmand and Selected among them - alongside a room built around live music, a plant-based rooftop and a courtyard beside Tao Dan park.

1. Anan Saigon (Saigon Ward)
Anan holds one Michelin star, the first restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City to be awarded one, and sits at 89 Ton That Dam in a narrow building rising out of one of the last working wet markets in central Saigon. Chef Peter Cuong Franklin's food takes Vietnamese street dishes and rebuilds them at fine-dining scale without abandoning what they were.
The building runs across several floors: a ground-floor dining room, the Nhau Nhau cocktail bar above it, and a rooftop. Service starts at 17:00 and runs late, closed Mondays. Anan takes reservations by email, and the dining room is small enough that two weeks ahead is a realistic window for a weekend table.

2. Long Trieu (The Reverie Saigon)
Long Trieu holds one Michelin star for Cantonese cooking and occupies the fourth floor of The Reverie Saigon, overlooking Nguyen Hue Boulevard in District 1. The kitchen is led by Executive Chef Angus Chan with culinary advisor Master Siu Hin Chi, working classical Cantonese dim sum, roast meats and seafood.
The dining room and its nine private rooms hold up to 200 guests. Lunch runs 11:00 to 14:00, from 10:00 on Saturday and Sunday for dim sum, and dinner runs 18:00 to 22:00. Long Trieu takes reservations through DiningCity.

3. Man Moi (District 3)
Man Moi's Tao Dan location cooks contemporary Vietnamese food at 34 Vo Van Tan in District 3, near Tao Dan park, the large green space between District 1 and District 3. The room takes Vietnamese dishes and presents them for a sit-down service, in a courtyard setting with greenery, colonial-era tiles and warm lighting. The kitchen works across regional Vietnamese cooking with an emphasis on presentation.
Reservations run through TableCheck and confirm instantly. The room is open 10:00 to 22:00 daily, and a walk through Tao Dan park before the table is a good way to use the booking.

4. An's Saigon (Thao Dien / An Khanh)
An's Saigon appears in the MICHELIN Guide selection for Ho Chi Minh City. It sits on Tong Huu Dinh in An Khanh, a residential street in Thao Dien, and serves Vietnamese cooking built around seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, including herbs grown on site. The dining areas are a garden and an indoor lounge, plus a Chef's Table seating eight for a set tasting menu.
Hours run 11:00 to 23:00, Tuesday through Sunday, closed Mondays, with lunch service running 11:00 to 15:00 and dinner from 17:30. Reservations run through TableCheck, or call the restaurant directly to arrange the Chef's Table.

5. Xu Restaurant and Lounge (District 1)
Xu has been running on Hai Ba Trung in District 1 since 2005, and works on two levels: a modern Vietnamese restaurant upstairs and a lounge on the ground floor. The kitchen takes Vietnamese cooking and presents it in a contemporary register, balancing modern technique with classic Vietnamese flavors across an a la carte menu and a tasting menu upstairs.
The ground-floor lounge runs cocktails and an international wine list and stays open later than the kitchen above it. The address sits within a few minutes' walk of The Refinery, Hoa Tuc and El Gaucho on the Hai Ba Trung dining run.

6. Square One (Lam Son Square)
Square One is the main dining room of the Park Hyatt Saigon, on Lam Son Square directly opposite the Opera House. The menu spans both French and Vietnamese cooking side by side, with Chef Arnaud Schuttrumpf leading the French side of the kitchen. The restaurant has held a MICHELIN Guide selection every year since 2023.
Service runs 11:30 to 22:00 daily, with lunch service to 14:30 and dinner picking up again from 18:00. Reservations run through TableCheck.

7. Mandarine (District 1)
Mandarine sits on Ngo Van Nam in District 1, a fine-dining room built around traditional Vietnamese cooking and live music. The food is presented with the vegetable-carving garnish work the kitchen is known for. Live music runs most nights: classical western pieces on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, traditional Vietnamese music on Tuesday and Thursday, with a traditional dance performance available on request.
Mandarine serves lunch and dinner daily and takes reservations through its own website.

8. Hum (Xuan Hoa)
Hum Signature cooks a plant-based Vietnamese tasting menu on Vo Van Tan in Xuan Hoa, on a rooftop built around a garden. It draws on local, seasonal produce and works from Vietnamese cooking traditions. The rooftop room is calm and green, with lush planting and considered lighting.
Service runs 18:00 to 22:00, closed Wednesdays. The group runs several rooms in the city under the Hum name, including Hum Central, Hum Garden and Hum Lounge, so confirm the Vo Van Tan address when you book.

9. Cuc Gach Quan (Tan Dinh)
Cuc Gach Quan occupies a restored old house on Dang Tat in Tan Dinh and has been one of the city's most-loved rooms for years. The building is the draw as much as the food: timber, tile, courtyards and small rooms instead of one open dining floor. The cooking is Vietnamese home food, the dishes a family would actually cook, served in generous shared portions.
Service runs 09:00 to 23:30 daily. Cuc Gach Quan takes reservations through PasGo. Ask for a courtyard or upper-room table instead of the ground floor.
