Vietnamese cooking by Tao Dan park, bookable online.
Man Moi's Tao Dan location cooks contemporary Vietnamese food at 34 Vo Van Tan in District 3, near Tao Dan park, the large green space between District 1 and District 3 that most visitors walk past without entering. The room takes Vietnamese dishes and presents them for a sit-down service instead of a street one, in a courtyard setting with greenery, colonial-era tiles and warm lighting.
The park position is worth using. Tao Dan is at its best in the early morning and the late afternoon, when the city actually uses it, and a meal here pairs naturally with a walk through it instead of a taxi straight in and out.
The kitchen works across regional Vietnamese cooking with an emphasis on presentation, sitting between the home-cooking rooms and the fine-dining ones.
Reservations run through TableCheck and confirm instantly - use the booking button on this page. The room is open 10:00 to 22:00 daily.
Tao Dan is one of the few places in central Saigon where the city slows down, and the early evening is when it is at its best - a walk through the park before the table is the way to use this booking properly.
