New Year's Eve in Saigon (2026)
A planning guide to Saigon's rooftop bars, nightclubs and restaurants for New Year's Eve, covering the room, the view and the hours on record before you book the specifics.
Why we wrote this guide
New Year's Eve in Saigon comes down to three decisions: where to watch the countdown, where the night goes after midnight, and whether dinner comes first. This guide keeps those three apart - twelve rooftop bars for the countdown, six nightclubs for after midnight, and six restaurants for dinner before either - each one numbered so you can read straight through and build the night from the top.
Each entry describes the room as it stands on any other night: the floor or building it sits in, the view, the format, the kitchen or the music, and the hours it normally keeps. Where a room's regular hours already run past midnight, we say so, because that much is on record. What each venue runs on the night itself is confirmed when you book.
Saigon fills for the holiday, and these rooms fill with it, so ask further ahead than you would for an ordinary weekend. Last updated September 2026.
Where to watch the countdown
1. Chill Skybar (AB Tower)

Chill Skybar has run since 2011 on floors 26 and 27 of AB Tower on Le Lai, the original sky bar in the city, with about 3,000 square meters of open floor across the two levels. The room holds more than 200 guests, runs cocktails and bottles with live music and DJs later in the night, and keeps hours from 17:30 to 02:00 every night of the week.
See Chill Skybar.
Best for: a high room with a view that runs late, on either side of midnight.
2. Blank Lounge (Landmark 81)

Blank occupies floors 75 and 76 of Landmark 81, the 461-meter tower that is the tallest building in Vietnam, and it is among the highest lounges in the country. The two floors hold an indoor lounge and an outdoor deck, seating as few as 20 or as many as 100, and the room runs an all-day menu from 09:30 to midnight with no dress code.
See Blank Lounge.
Best for: the highest view in the city, worth claiming before dark.
3. Social Club Rooftop (Hotel des Arts)

Social Club Rooftop sits on the 24th floor of Hotel des Arts Saigon, an MGallery property, where the building's Art Deco design carries up to the terrace and an infinity pool runs along one edge, reserved for hotel guests, with the bar and seating open to everyone. Doors open at 15:00 and the room runs to midnight through the week and on Sunday, and to 01:00 on Friday and Saturday.
See Social Club Rooftop.
Best for: a rooftop that stays open past midnight on the weekend.
4. Zion Sky Lounge (District 1)

Zion Sky Lounge sits fourteen floors above Ham Nghi in District 1, pairing a lounge with an Asian fusion kitchen that runs tasting sets built for different table sizes, under a smart elegant dress code. Doors open at 16:00 and the room runs to 03:00, well past the point where most Saigon rooftops close for the night.
See Zion Sky Lounge.
Best for: a room that is still going well after midnight.
5. Shri Lifestyle Dining (Centec Tower)

Shri Lifestyle Dining occupies Level 23 of Centec Tower, a fixture of Saigon sky dining since 2010 that relaunched under its current name in 2023. The multi-concept room pairs a full kitchen serving Asian and European fusion with a bar, a lounge and an open-air terrace, and it runs a resident DJ on Friday and Saturday nights alongside a weekly jazz set.
See Shri Lifestyle Dining.
Best for: dinner and a DJ set on the same floor.
6. Twilight Sky Bar (Ben Thanh)

Twilight Sky Bar sits atop La Siesta Premium Saigon in Ben Thanh, spread across two floors with seating for around 150 arranged close together under soft lighting. The bar runs an extensive cocktail list with dedicated mixologists on the floor, open from 17:00 to midnight every night of the week.
See Twilight Sky Bar.
Best for: an intimate table instead of a big dance floor.
7. Above Sky Bar (Liberty Central Citypoint)

Above Sky Bar sits on the nineteenth floor of Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint on Pasteur, one of the few rooftops in the city that is genuinely open all day, from 08:00 through to midnight, seven days a week. The deck has an open layout with an infinity pool on the same floor and a view over the low rooftops of central District 1.
See Above Sky Bar.
Best for: flexibility - a room you can book any time of day, not only sunset.
8. Rooftop Garden Bar (Rex Hotel)

The Rooftop Garden Bar at the Rex Hotel is a planted garden terrace on the fifth floor at Nguyen Hue and Le Loi, the room where foreign correspondents gathered during the war for briefings they nicknamed the Five O'Clock Follies. Newsweek named it one of Southeast Asia's best bars in 1996, and it runs from 06:00 to 01:00, past midnight, with a Five O'Clock Follies happy hour from 17:00 to 20:00.
See Rooftop Garden Bar.
Best for: the most historic terrace in the city, open past midnight.
9. Vertical Sky Bar (Liberty Central Riverside)

Vertical Sky Bar occupies the twenty-fifth floor of Liberty Central Saigon Riverside on Ton Duc Thang, directly on the waterfront, with the Thu Thiem towers across the water and the Bitexco tower behind. It opens early and runs long, from 08:30 to midnight, seven days a week, with bar seating along the rail open to everyone.
See Vertical Sky Bar.
Best for: the most direct river view among the hotel rooftops.
10. The Muse (Thao Dien)

The Muse sits on the rooftop of Mia Saigon in Thao Dien, across the river from the center, with two open-air terraces built around the view of the Saigon River curving past Thanh Da Island. The format is cocktails and tapas, not a full dining room, open from 16:00 through the week and from 14:00 on Sunday, both running to midnight.
See The Muse.
Best for: a river view away from the downtown crowds.
11. Propeller Rooftop Bar (Bay Hotel)

Propeller Rooftop Bar sits on the 17th floor of Bay Hotel Ho Chi Minh on Ngo Van Nam, a compact room with 35 seats indoors and 52 more on the open deck, looking toward the river and the towers on the far bank. It is closed Monday, and runs Tuesday through Sunday from 16:00 to 23:00, with last orders at 22:30.
See Propeller Rooftop Bar.
Best for: an early sunset stop before the rest of the night.
12. M Bar (Hotel Majestic)

M Bar sits on the eighth floor of the Hotel Majestic Saigon's New Wing, added onto the original 1925 riverfront building at the foot of Dong Khoi Street, with a terrace that runs along the river face of the building. A live band plays nightly at eight, and the room runs from 15:00 to midnight daily, with an indoor lounge alongside the open-air terrace.

Best for: a formal, historic room over the river.

13. Cine Saigon (Ben Thanh)

Cine Saigon entered the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs at number 68 in 2026, set inside a converted theater on Cong Quynh that keeps its original architecture. The room holds around 800 across tiered floors, runs a line-array sound system with a 360-degree lighting rig, and books international and regional DJs alongside residents across house, techno and hip-hop, open from 21:00 to 03:00.
See Cine Saigon.
Best for: a big production room to land in after midnight.
14. APLUS Saigon (Cau Ong Lanh)

APLUS Saigon entered the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs at number 59 in 2026, just months after opening on Vo Van Kiet in Cau Ong Lanh, and it runs as a superclub built around concert-grade LED staging and an L-Acoustics L-Series sound system, reported as the first installation of its kind in Vietnam. Nights are built around one headline set with table tiers set around the stage, and the room runs nightly from 20:00 to 04:00.
See APLUS Saigon.
Best for: one big production and a late finish.
15. Canalis Club (District 3)

Canalis Club runs on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia in District 3, one of the longer-standing rooms on the Saigon circuit, built around a high-ceilinged open floor with a central stage, LED screens and kinetic lighting. It holds more than 200 guests, mixes a dance floor with a seated section, and plays broad, not specialist, music with live performances most nights, open from 20:30 to 03:30.
See Canalis Club.
Best for: a mixed group that has not settled on one style of night.
16. Hair of the Dog (Bui Vien)

Hair of the Dog sits on Bui Vien, the pedestrianized street at the center of Saigon's backpacker quarter, and is one of the longer-running dance rooms on that strip, built around its own sound system and DJ sets playing EDM and Vietnamese remixes. Bui Vien closes to cars in the evening, so plan the walk in, and the room runs from 21:00 to 04:00.
See Hair of the Dog.
Best for: a louder, later Bui Vien night away from District 1.
17. Khu 13 (Pham Ngu Lao)

Khu 13 sits down an alley off Pham Ngu Lao in Ben Thanh, a hip-hop-led room built around a real dance floor that holds around 200 people, with an underground, industrial look in metal mesh and light strips. Entry is 18 and over, and the club runs nightly from 21:00 to 03:00.
See Khu 13.
Best for: hip-hop and pop sets over house and techno.
18. Volar Club (District 1)

Volar Club opened in August 2026 on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia in the middle of District 1, walkable from the Dong Khoi hotels and the Opera House. The room runs as a club and lounge together with LED walls and bar-top dancers, doors open early for Saigon at 20:30, and service runs to 03:00.
See Volar Club.
Best for: a central location within walking distance of Dong Khoi.
Dinner first
19. The Deck Saigon (An Khanh)

Best for: a river-view dinner before heading back into the center.
20. Xu Restaurant and Lounge (District 1)

Xu has run on Hai Ba Trung in District 1 since 2005, with a modern Vietnamese restaurant upstairs and a cocktail lounge on the ground floor that stays open later than the kitchen above it. The building runs from 16:00 to 01:00, past midnight, within a few minutes' walk of The Refinery, Hoa Tuc and El Gaucho.
See Xu Restaurant and Lounge.
Best for: dinner that can turn into a late lounge without changing address.
21. Mad Cow Wine and Grill (Pullman Saigon Centre)

Mad Cow Wine and Grill sits on the 30th floor of the Pullman Saigon Centre on Tran Hung Dao, a steakhouse with skyline views built around Australian beef and Wagyu, including a Tomahawk cut, alongside a wine list of more than 50 labels. Service runs 18:00 to 22:00 daily, and the hotel's separate open-air Rooftop Bar sits one floor above it.
See Mad Cow Wine and Grill.
Best for: a proper sit-down steak dinner with a view, before you move on.
22. The Racha Room (Thao Dien)

The Racha Room serves Asian fusion food with a Thai accent on Xuan Thuy in Thao Dien, with a bar that is a real part of the operation, not an accessory, so dinner can run into drinks without moving. Service runs to midnight through the week and to 01:00, past midnight, on Friday and Saturday.
See The Racha Room.
Best for: dinner that turns into drinks without a second booking.
23. El Gaucho (District 1)

El Gaucho is the Saigon outpost of an Argentinian steakhouse group, set on Hai Ba Trung in District 1 opposite the Park Hyatt Saigon, with a beef program built from USDA Prime, Australian Black Angus and Wagyu cuts run through an open kitchen. The four-floor room runs from late morning to 02:00, past midnight, later than most District 1 kitchens.

Dinner runs 17:30 to 22:00 every day, including a dinner-only opening on Saturday.
See Le Corto.

How to book
Every restaurant in this guide, and several of the rooftops, book directly online - the link sits on each venue's own page. The rest of the rooftops and all six nightclubs book through our Saigon partner. Tell us the date, your group size and what the night should be - a table for the countdown, or somewhere to land after midnight - and our Saigon partner will take it from there.
FAQ
Do any of these rooms run past midnight on a normal night?
Yes. Several of the rooftops keep going past midnight even on an ordinary night - Zion Sky Lounge runs to 03:00, Rooftop Garden Bar runs to 01:00, Social Club Rooftop runs to 01:00 on Friday and Saturday, and Xu Restaurant and Lounge's ground-floor lounge stays open to 01:00. All six nightclubs in this guide run into the early morning as a matter of course.
What does each venue run on the night itself?
That is confirmed when you book. This guide covers the rooms as they stand - the floor, the view, the format and the hours on record - and each venue confirms its own arrangements for December 31 at the time of booking.
Can I book these venues myself?
Some of them. Every restaurant here and several of the rooftops list their own booking page, and you can reserve directly on it. The rest of the rooftops and all six nightclubs book through our Saigon partner - tell us the date and group size and they take it from there.
How far ahead should I ask for a table?
Earlier than you would for an ordinary weekend. Saigon fills for the holiday, and the rooms in this guide fill with it, so the sooner you tell us the date and group size, the more of these options stay open to you.
