Saigon's rooftops split into two eras: the marquee sky bars on floors 20 and above that have defined the skyline since Chill Skybar opened in 2011, and a newer wave of hotel terraces and neighborhood rooftops that trade height for a specific view or a longer opening window. This guide ranks the ten that matter most in 2026.
Some of these rooms are built for sunset and close by midnight; others, like Zion Sky Lounge and Vertical Sky Bar, run from breakfast or mid-morning through to the small hours. A few sit across the river in Thao Dien, and one, the Rooftop Garden Bar at the Rex Hotel, has been open since before most of the city's towers existed. Between them they cover most of what a rooftop evening in Saigon can be.

1. Chill Skybar (AB Tower)
Chill Skybar has been running since 2011, the original sky bar in Ho Chi Minh City. It sits on floors 26 and 27 of AB Tower on Le Lai, with about 3,000 square meters of open floor across the two levels, and it fills most nights of the week, not only at weekends. The layout wraps the tower, so the view changes as you move around the deck: one side looks toward the river, the other faces the newer towers.
Service runs cocktails and bottles with live music and DJs later in the night, and the room has a genuine arc, dinner-adjacent early and considerably louder after eleven. Doors open at 17:30 and the room runs to 02:00 every night, with a happy hour from 17:30 to 20:00. Sunset seating on the outer rail is the request worth making, and it is the one that goes first.

2. Blank Lounge (Landmark 81)
Blank occupies floors 75 and 76 of Landmark 81, the 461-meter tower that is the tallest building in Vietnam. It is among the highest lounges in the country, and the height is the whole draw: the city spreads out below on every side, and on a clear evening the view runs to the edge of town. The two floors hold an indoor lounge and an outdoor deck, with room for as few as 20 or as many as 100 depending on the booking.
The all-day menu runs light breakfast, savory plates and shareable platters built from local Vietnamese ingredients, alongside coffee, tea, cocktails and spirits, and there is no dress code. Blank opens at 09:30 and runs to midnight daily, viable for an afternoon as much as a first stop before dinner. Sunset is the busiest window, so arrive early in that hour for the best table.

3. Social Club Rooftop (Hotel des Arts)
Social Club Rooftop sits on the 24th floor of Hotel des Arts Saigon, an MGallery property on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, and the building's Art Deco language carries all the way up: dark timber, warm lighting and a French Indochine feel that reads more hotel bar than nightclub. An infinity pool runs along one edge of the terrace, reserved for hotel guests, while the bar and its seating are open to everyone.
A happy hour runs daily from 15:00 to 19:00, with select by-the-glass pours discounted, though it does not run on public holidays or during special events. Doors open at 15:00, closing at midnight through the week and on Sunday, and running to 01:00 on Friday and Saturday. Poolside tables are limited and worth asking for when you book; the sunset hour fills first in dry season.

4. Zion Sky Lounge (District 1)
Zion Sky Lounge sits fourteen floors above Ham Nghi in District 1, close enough to the river end of the center that the view takes in both the older low-rise blocks and the towers along the water. It is smaller and more contained than the marquee sky bars, with live performances and DJ sets that build through the evening, and it pairs the lounge with dining: an Asian fusion kitchen runs through the evening with tasting sets built for different table sizes.
Smart elegant dress is expected. Doors open at 16:00 and service continues to 03:00, well past the point where most Saigon rooftops have closed the deck. Arrive before seven in the evening if the view in daylight is the draw; after ten the room fills for the late crowd.

5. Shri Lifestyle Dining (District 3)
Shri occupies Level 23 of Centec Tower on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, on the District 3 side of the center. It has been a fixture of Saigon sky dining since 2010, relaunching in 2023 as Shri Lifestyle Dining after merging with IN Dining, and it is a multi-concept rooftop, a dining room, a bar, a lounge and an open-air terrace with a glasshouse, built around a full kitchen, not a bar with food attached.
There is a resident DJ, with live sets every Friday and Saturday from 8:30pm, a monthly Sunday electronic night, a weekly jazz set, and a Tuesday ladies' night, so the room shifts from a dinner table to a later, louder one without changing address through the evening. Doors are from 17:00 and the room runs to midnight. Because the terrace is smaller than the interior, outdoor tables are the real constraint and are worth requesting specifically.

6. Twilight Sky Bar (District 1)
Twilight Sky Bar sits atop La Siesta Premium Saigon on Ly Tu Trong in Ben Thanh, in the dense middle of District 1, spread across two floors at the top of the hotel above the Cloud Nine restaurant one floor down. The deck is arranged around the view instead of a dance floor: seating for around 150 is close together under soft lighting, the music sits under conversation, and the room fills with couples and small groups instead of the large tables that fill the bigger sky bars.
The bar runs an extensive cocktail list with dedicated mixologists on the floor. Doors are from 17:00 and the room closes at midnight every night, seven nights a week. The sunset hour draws the biggest crowd, so a booking an hour before dark is worth planning for.

7. Above Sky Bar (Liberty Central Citypoint)
Above Sky Bar sits on the nineteenth floor of Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint on Pasteur, a short walk from the Opera House and the Dong Khoi shopping run. The deck runs from eight in the morning to midnight, seven days a week, so it works as a mid-morning coffee above the traffic, an afternoon out of the heat, a sunset drink, or a late one.
The room is simple and unfussy, with an open deck, an infinity pool on the same floor, and a view over the low rooftops of central District 1 toward the towers beyond. The list is built around spirits, signature cocktails and wine alongside a short menu of light snacks. Happy hour runs 18:00 to 20:00 daily.

8. Rooftop Garden Bar (Rex Hotel)
The Rooftop Garden Bar at the Rex Hotel is the most historically loaded terrace in Saigon. It sits on the fifth floor at the corner of Nguyen Hue and Le Loi, and during the war it was where foreign correspondents gathered for the daily military briefings they nicknamed the Five O'Clock Follies. Newsweek named it one of Southeast Asia's best bars in 1996, and it has appeared in Patricia Schultz's travel writing since.
It is a planted garden terrace, not a glass-and-steel sky bar, and the terrace sits below the surrounding towers, so the view runs along the street and the Nguyen Hue walking boulevard instead of the skyline. Service includes cocktails, beer and a short menu, with a Five O'Clock Follies happy hour from 17:00 to 20:00. This works best early in the evening, pairing naturally with the Opera House and a walk down Dong Khoi.

9. Vertical Sky Bar (Liberty Central Riverside)
Vertical Sky Bar occupies the twenty-fifth floor of Liberty Central Saigon Riverside on Ton Duc Thang, directly along the waterfront, giving it the most direct river outlook of the hotel rooftops in the center. The Thu Thiem towers sit across the water and the Bitexco tower rises behind you. Like its sister property up the road, it opens early and runs long: doors from 08:30 and service to midnight, seven days a week.
The deck is arranged around a pool reserved for hotel guests, with bar seating along the rail open to everyone. The bar runs cocktails and a light menu, and sunset over the river is the window to book, with the rail seats facing the water the ones to request. Arriving on foot along Ton Duc Thang from the Opera House end gives you the river approach before you go up.

10. The Muse (Thao Dien)
The Muse sits on the rooftop of Mia Saigon in Thao Dien, on the far side of the river from the center, and the crossing is the point: from here the Saigon River curves past Thanh Da Island, and the room is built around that view instead of the downtown skyline. The format is cocktails and tapas instead of a full dining room, with two open-air terraces facing the water and a design that draws on the Indochine era.
Doors are from 16:00 through the week and 14:00 on Sunday, closing at midnight daily. The Sunday opening is worth knowing about, because an afternoon that runs into evening on the river is the best version of this room. Thao Dien is a fifteen to twenty minute drive from the center depending on traffic.
