Because it is newly added to the guide, the kitchen is cooking in its first recognized season. Thao Dien sits across the river from District 1, so this is a destination booking, not a walk from a District 1 hotel. Confirming the address before you set out is worth the message, since lane numbering in An Khanh is hard to navigate on arrival.

2. Yazawa Saigon (District 1)
Yazawa is a yakiniku house on Dien Bien Phu, on the western edge of the District 1 dining core, serving Japanese wagyu that arrives raw and is grilled at the table by the diners themselves. That format suits a group: the meal spreads naturally across two or three hours, everyone stays occupied at the grill, and the ordering builds incrementally through the meal instead of committing everything up front.

It is a Japanese restaurant and lounge billed as a "Little Tokyo" inside the tower, and the kitchen works modern Japanese across sushi, sashimi and yakitori, sourcing seafood from Japan's Tsukiji and Osaka markets alongside domestic catches.
