Modern Japanese in Thao Dien, with instantly confirmed tables.
Shari cooks modern Japanese on Ngo Quang Huy in Thao Dien. The room is contemporary in its design, blending Kumiko latticework with modern interiors, and the menu works sushi and cooked dishes side by side across an omakase-style course.
Thao Dien has become one of the city's stronger pockets for Japanese cooking, and Shari is one of the rooms that reflects that. The kitchen leans on seasonal ingredients and creative sushi preparation alongside more traditional cooked plates, and the room draws heavily from the neighborhood's own residents as well as visitors passing through.
Lunch runs 11:30 to 15:00 and dinner 17:00 to 22:00, seven days, with the kitchen closed between the two services. Lunch is the quieter, easier table to get; dinner fills as the evening goes on, especially toward the end of the week.
Reservations run through TableCheck with instant confirmation - use the booking button on this page. Thao Dien sits across the river from District 1, so this is a good booking to pair with something else in the neighborhood on the same trip.
