Sorae occupies Level 51 of the Bitexco Financial Tower on Ho Tung Mau, the building that was the tallest in Ho Chi Minh City from 2010 until Landmark 81 overtook it in 2019. It is a Japanese restaurant and lounge billed as a "Little Tokyo" inside the tower, and the height puts it among the highest dining rooms in the city.
The kitchen works modern Japanese across sushi, sashimi and yakitori, sourcing seafood from Japan's Tsukiji and Osaka markets alongside domestic catches. Beyond the main dining room, six themed private rooms are split between tatami-style and high-chair seating, for groups who want the view without the open floor.
Because it is a restaurant and a lounge together, an evening here can run from dinner into drinks without changing venue, and it does not empty when the kitchen closes.
