Yazawa Saigon · Restaurant · Saigon
Japanese wagyu yakiniku on Dien Bien Phu, grilled at the table.
Yazawa is a yakiniku house on Dien Bien Phu, serving Japanese wagyu grilled at the table. Cuts arrive raw and diners cook them themselves on the grill set into the table, which makes the meal a hands-on activity paced by the group, not a plated service.
That format suits a group well. Yakiniku spreads naturally across two or three hours, everyone stays occupied at the grill, and the ordering builds incrementally through the meal instead of committing everything up front.
The sourcing is the reason to choose it over the city's steakhouses: this is Japanese wagyu, grilled the Japanese way, not a Western cut on a Western grill.
Service runs 17:00 to 23:30. Reservations run through TableCheck and confirm instantly. Table grills mean seating is fixed, not expandable, so groups of six or more should book ahead since the room cannot simply add a chair. It sits a short car ride from the Dong Khoi hotels, on the western edge of the District 1 dining core, and the extraction over each table keeps the room comfortable instead of smoky.
