Vertical Sky Bar occupies the twenty-fifth floor of Liberty Central Saigon Riverside on Ton Duc Thang, directly along the waterfront, which gives it the most direct river outlook of the hotel rooftops in the center. The Thu Thiem towers sit across the water and the Bitexco tower rises behind you.
Like its sister property up the road, it opens early and runs long: doors from 08:30 and service to midnight, seven days a week. That makes it a viable morning or afternoon room as well as an evening one, which most Saigon rooftops are not.
The deck is arranged around a pool reserved for hotel guests, with bar seating along the rail open to everyone. The bar runs cocktails and a light menu; the room stays comfortable, not loud, and the reason to be here is the position, not the program. Sunset over the river is the window, and the rail seats facing the water are the ones to request. Outside that hour the room is usually open, which makes it a reliable option when the marquee rooftops are full.
The walk matters here. Ton Duc Thang runs along the waterfront past the Bason bridge, so arriving on foot from the Opera House end gives you the river approach before you go up, which is a better introduction than the lift alone.
