Best of Vegas This Weekend: Aug 28-30
A late-August slate that runs Tiesto poolside at Fontainebleau, Zedd at the newly opened OMNIA Dayclub, and The Chainsmokers at Encore Beach Club.
The last full weekend of August lands hot and dry, the kind of desert heat that pushes the smart money toward shaded cabanas by day and mirror-cool rooms by night. This is a headliner-heavy stretch: Tiesto takes over the arena pool at Fontainebleau on Saturday, the newly opened OMNIA Dayclub hands its decks to Zedd, and The Chainsmokers anchor Encore Beach Club. Add Deorro and Knock2 to the Friday board and you have a weekend that rewards planning over wandering. Book the tables early, pace the pool days, and let the late nights come to you.
Friday night
Start the weekend at Omnia at Caesars, where Deorro brings his big-room energy to the kinetic chandelier room. It is the confident open-tonight play on the Strip's east side, drawing a crowd that wants melody with muscle. Steps away across the bridge, book an early table at Pinky Ring at Bellagio for Bruno Mars' lounge and the Hooligans before you cross over.
Over at Fontainebleau, LIV Nightclub hands the room to Knock2, one of the most in-demand names in the new bass-leaning wave, and the sound system earns every decibel. Keep it on-property and start the evening at Komodo, the Miami import whose theatrical dining room sets the right tempo before the club.
For a Wynn-side alternative, EBC at Night runs Subtronics under the open sky, a heavier, dubstep-driven counterpoint to the melodic rooms. Pair it with a bi-level seafood dinner at PISCES Bar and Seafare at Wynn first, then walk the property to the pool. If you would rather keep it downtempo, Zouk at Resorts World has Ray Volpe for a bass-forward close.
Saturday - day to night
Saturday belongs to the pool. The newly opened OMNIA Dayclub at Caesars deserves top billing this weekend with Zedd on the decks, a marquee booking for a room still in its debut season and already pulling the well-traveled daytime crowd. At Fontainebleau, LIV Beach counters hard with Tiesto, the arena-style pool built for exactly this scale of headliner. Meanwhile Encore Beach Club runs The Chainsmokers, Marquee Dayclub brings Timmy Trumpet, and Palm Tree Beach Club at MGM has Chris Lake for the house purists. Pick one, commit to it, and hydrate accordingly.
By evening, OMNIA at Caesars reloads with TWINSICK, and it remains the Caesars-side anchor for the night. Cross the bridge to Pinky Ring at Bellagio for a pre-club cocktail with live music.
At Fontainebleau, LIV Nightclub follows its own pool day with Max Styler working the main room. Line up dinner at Komodo on the same property to keep the night seamless.
For a Cosmopolitan run, Marquee Nightclub hosts jigitz in one of the Strip's longest-running rooms, freshly remodeled. And on the Aria side, Jewel at Aria brings Eric Remy; pair it with a see-and-be-seen dinner at Catch at Aria before you walk down the hall.
Sunday wind-down
Sunday eases off without going quiet. OMNIA Dayclub at Caesars stacks a strong closer with Green Velvet and Afrojack across the day, a proper send-off for anyone with one more pool session left in them. For something more low-slung, Encore Beach Club hosts a Bob Moses (Club Set), all mood and groove rather than peak-hour push.
When the sun drops, Omnia at Caesars closes the weekend with DESEO: Latin Sundays, the reliable Latin night to end on. Book a quiet dinner at PISCES Bar and Seafare at Wynn beforehand and let the weekend land gently.
The pre-game
The right table sets the whole night. On the Wynn side, PISCES Bar and Seafare at Wynn is Chef Heller's bi-level seafood room, purpose-built to feed a crowd headed for XS or EBC. At Fontainebleau, Komodo delivers the sultry Miami theater that pairs naturally with LIV. And for Aria nights at Jewel, Catch at Aria remains the room built to be looked at, with sushi and seafood that hold their own against anywhere on the Strip. Reserve early; the good tables move fast on a weekend this loaded.
