Friday Night in Vegas: Which Nightclub to Pick by Your Group
How to pick the right Vegas nightclub for your Friday night by budget, convenience, age, and music, with our room-by-room recommendations.
Why we wrote this guide
Most Friday-night Vegas plans fall apart in the group chat. Someone wants EDM, someone wants hip hop, someone wants to actually hear the table. We wrote this to short-circuit that. Up front: we do not book the room or hold tables for anyone. Our job is to align your group with the artist or event you want, or to tell you which room will have the best turnout the night you are in town, and then secure the table. Last updated July 2026.
This pairs with our anchor piece, the best Vegas nightclubs for bottle service guide. If that one is the menu, this is the seating chart.
Friday versus Saturday
For nightclubs, Friday and Saturday are more alike than the internet makes them sound. Pricing runs fairly parallel across the two nights; the only real variables are the artist bookings and the premium weekends (holidays, fights, F1). So the question is rarely "Friday or Saturday." It is who is playing, and which room fits the group.
How the weekend actually works
Vegas weekends are talent-driven. The crowd goes wherever the biggest booking is. If one room has a resident DJ and a competitor has A-list talent that night, the crowd gravitates to the A-list. Since Drai's nightclub closed, the two consistently hip-hop rooms are Jewel and Tao, with Hakkasan, Marquee, and Zouk mixing hip-hop artists into their normal residencies. Everything else leans EDM and open-format.
How to read the room
Before we recommend a venue, we run the group through four questions. You can answer them in the group chat on the flight in:
Budget. What the group is comfortable spending on the table.
Convenience. Do you want a room near where you are staying so you are not dealing with transportation logistics across the Strip.
Age range. Most rooms carry a mix, but the energy skews differently early-20s versus mid-30s.
Music. EDM or hip hop. That one answer narrows the field fast.
Those four are what we need to make a recommendation that actually fits the group.
Pick your room
Big-room EDM. Lead with OMNIA, the number one nightclub in America. If OMNIA does not fit the night, XS and LIV are the other two big-box rooms that trade the top spot weekend to weekend. See OMNIA, XS, and LIV.
Hip hop. Tao, Jewel, or Hakkasan, depending on the event calendar that weekend. See Tao, Jewel, and Hakkasan.
Multi-room flexibility. OMNIA is the answer. The open-air Terrace runs a mix of music with Strip views, the Heart of OMNIA plays primarily top 40 and hip hop, and the main room and balcony carry the big-room EDM. As a whole it is the most diverse and experiential venue in Las Vegas, which is why it is our default when the group's taste is split.
A 2026 caveat worth knowing
Two things to have on your radar this year. At Hakkasan, the room to book for a group that wants to hear each other between songs is the mezzanine. And XS is closing at the end of July 2026 for a technological refurbishment, with a grand re-opening the weekend of Thursday, November 5, 2026, one of the strongest opening weekends a Vegas club has booked in years.
Picking by the talent calendar
Vegas runs on residencies and guest bookings. If your group cares which artist is playing, tell us before we do anything, because residency and headliner weeks at the top rooms sell out first. The anchor names move fastest: an OMNIA night with Aoki, Tiesto, Garrix, or Zedd, an XS night with Calvin Harris, The Chainsmokers, or Marshmello, a LIV night with John Summit, Guetta, or Dom Dolla. Check the live Las Vegas events calendar for who is on the deck the weekend you are in town, and we will build the pick around it.
Frequently asked
What time should we arrive?
For bottle service, plan to be in the room as it fills. The night peaks late and starts thinning around 2:30 to 3am, with most rooms closing around 3:30 to 4am depending on the venue.
Should we eat dinner before?
Yes. Tao and Hakkasan both have a restaurant attached to the club (see Tao Asian Bistro and Hakkasan), which makes for a clean dinner-into-club night. Otherwise plan dinner separately and we will coordinate the reservation alongside the table.
Can we club-hop in one night?
You can, but do not bother getting a table at a second room. Even though the casinos are relatively close, the transportation logistics make a second table not worth it. If you want to bar-hop, we will set you up downtown on Fremont, which is built for exactly that.
How MyRSVP handles your bookings
We do not hold the room for anyone. The process is short:
Tell us the group, the date, the music, and the budget you are comfortable with, the four questions above.
We identify the table and the room that match, and get you a 20 percent deposit link to secure the reservation, the standard process throughout Las Vegas.
We coordinate the arrival and help with any logistics to expedite you and your group in, and set your expectations for dress code and who to see at the door if it is not one of our own people.
Plan it
Send us the group and the date, and we will point you to the right room. Build a Vegas plan with us.
