Tao opened at The Venetian in September 2005 and turned twenty in 2025, which makes it one of the longest-running nightclubs in Las Vegas. The club sits directly above TAO Asian Bistro, the restaurant with the twenty-foot Buddha and the koi-filled infinity pool, and the dinner and nightlife package walks guests from the dining room up to the club.
The layout is what keeps it working. The room is layered, with a catwalk through the middle of it, and the moat of tables at the center acts as a melting pot, so the energy sits in the middle of the room as well as at the front. Eight private skyboxes look down over the main room, there are entry level tables around the right-hand side bar, and a 40-foot terrace looks out over the Strip.
Reservable areas include the dance floor, the prime tables in the moat, the standard skybox tables and the small first-tier prime tables, along with a handful of others. A minimum spend is the food and beverage minimum you commit to ordering, with tax, venue fee and gratuity added on top.
Doors open at 10:30 PM Thursday through Sunday, with Worship Thursdays, Ritual Sundays and hip-hop and top 40 in between. Bazaar Meat, BOA and COTE all sit within the Venetian and Palazzo complex if you want dinner before the room fills.
