Hakkasan opened at MGM Grand in April 2013, in the space Studio 54 had held from 1997 to 2012, and it was the first Hakkasan nightclub anywhere. The venue consists of five total levels: two floors of dining below, and three of nightclub stacked above them, with the main room on the fourth.
The mezzanine sits above the main room, and on the biggest nights the Pavilion opens as an extension of it, so the club grows with the crowd. In the main room the DJ booth and a suspended performance stage are wrapped in floor-to-ceiling LED screens, while the Pavilion brings an indoor garden and a two-story water feature. The Hakkasan Lounge on the third level is finished in marble paneling and the lattice work the Hakkasan name is known for.
The club is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:30pm. Wednesday is R&Bae Wednesdays in The Studio, and the current calendar leans on hip-hop, with DJ nights and headline appearances Thursday through Saturday. Reservable areas include the main room owners tables, the stage, the lower and upper dance floor, the 3rd and 4th rows and the mezzanine, along with a handful of others. A minimum spend is the food and beverage minimum you commit to ordering, with tax, venue fee and gratuity added on top.
