On The Record opened at Park MGM on December 28, 2018, hidden behind a working record store entrance off the main casino floor. It is about 11,000 square feet and built as a series of discoveries: three rooms across indoor and outdoor space, three hidden karaoke rooms themed to the '70s, '80s and '90s, and the Vinyl Parlor, a hidden cocktail room.
The Main Room is where the dancing happens, with a vintage Rolls Royce DJ booth, a stage that appears behind the bar and music-themed pinball machines. The Living Room has '70s decor, a bar and couches by a fireplace, and it opens onto the Patio, where a 1963 double-decker bus works as a bar and DJ booth under the open sky. That structure is the appeal: it suits a group that wants somewhere to move through across a few hours.
A minimum spend is the beverage minimum you commit to ordering, with tax, venue fee and gratuity added on top. The dress code is upscale and fashionable. Bavette's and Best Friend are both inside Park MGM for dinner first.
