New Year's Eve in Tokyo splits two ways. High above the city, the hotel bars run countdown parties with live music and free-flow Champagne. In Ginza and Shibuya, the clubs count down on the dance floor.
This guide covers the New Year's Eve 2026 nights that have been announced so far, on Thursday, December 31, 2026, and where to book each one. We will add the clubs and parties that post their plans later in November.

The countdown parties in the sky bars
The Peak Lounge & Bar on the 41st floor of Park Hyatt Tokyo hosts Countdown Lounge 2027, Midnight in Motion, from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am. The night brings aerial performers, a seven-piece band and free-flow Champagne, and it is sold as a prepaid booking only.
TwentyEight, the bar on the 28th floor of Conrad Tokyo, holds a standing Countdown Party from 10:30 pm to 1:00 am, with doors at 10:00 pm. Ruinart Blanc de Blancs flows all night, with a buffet, a lucky draw, a vocalist, a DJ and a saxophonist.
Mandarin Bar at Mandarin Oriental Tokyo opens its Countdown Party at 9:30 pm, with cocktails, Champagne and live music, and a Golden Era dress code for the night.
At Andaz Tokyo, The Tavern - Grill & Lounge runs a Lounge Countdown Party plan from 8:30 pm, pairing a six-course menu with free-flow Champagne.
CE LA VI Tokyo in Shibuya is also hosting a countdown event after dinner service; its countdown bookings open on November 9.
The clubs
Zouk Tokyo, on two basement floors below Granbell Square in Ginza, has New Year's Eve on its calendar with doors at 10:00 pm, and its tables are already open for the night. It placed No. 51 in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs 2026.
WOMB in Shibuya's Maruyamacho has announced WOMB Presents New Year Countdown to 2027. The start time and lineup are still to come.

Dinner first
New York Grill on the 52nd floor of Park Hyatt Tokyo serves four-course and five-course New Year's Eve dinner menus, with an optional wine pairing. It sits eleven floors above The Peak Lounge, so dinner and the countdown can share one building.
The Tavern serves a six-course Festive Dinner on December 31 in two seatings, from 5:30 pm and from 8:30 pm, with Beef Wellington as the main course.
