Bar and lounge on the 28th floor of Conrad Tokyo, with live music and windows over Tokyo Bay
TwentyEight is the bar and lounge on the 28th floor of Conrad Tokyo in Shiodome, set on the hotel's lobby level. By day it serves tea, coffee and the hotel's seasonal afternoon tea; from 17:00 it becomes a bar with live music and a cocktail list built around Japanese spirits.
The lounge is indoors, under a ceiling that rises about eight meters. Its windows face Hama-Rikyu Gardens, Tokyo Bay and the Rainbow Bridge, bright and green in daylight and a field of city lights after dark. The room seats 92.
Signature cocktails include the Hinoki Martini, a vodka martini with rice shochu, sake and Japanese hinoki cypress; the Oedo Old Fashioned, with Japanese whisky and cacao butter shochu; the Tokyo Sour, with Roku gin, rice shochu and honey yuzu; and the Geisha Martini, an espresso martini built on cold-brewed Geisha coffee. A 90-minute Japanese whisky experience pours Yamazaki, Hibiki and Hakushu, and a tapas selection is served with drinks until the 22:00 food last order.
Bar time runs 17:00 to midnight every day, with last drink orders at 23:30. Live sets of lounge music and other genres start at 19:20, the last one beginning at 22:05, and weekend and holiday afternoons have live sets as well. The published dress code is smart casual, with no tank tops or beach sandals.
