Barry's Downtown Prime is the steakhouse inside Circa Resort & Casino on Fremont Street, and it was built to bring an older style of Las Vegas steakhouse back downtown. Vintage glamour sets the tone and modern design carries it, a combination the room works deliberately rather than as pastiche.
It is the project of Barry Dakake with Yassine Lyoubi, Marco Cicione and Donnie Rihn, and the kitchen is built around prime steaks and seafood with a cocktail list to match. The wine program earned the Best of Award of Excellence in Wine Spectator's 2025 Restaurant Awards, the tier above the Award of Excellence and one given to lists with genuine depth.
The space is unusually flexible for a steakhouse of this register. Private and semi-private rooms sit throughout the restaurant, so a dinner for eight can be fully closed off while the main room keeps its energy, and a buyout of the entire space holds up to 350 guests. That range makes it one of the more practical downtown rooms for a group that wants a real steakhouse rather than a banquet hall.
The bar opens at 4:30 PM daily and dinner is served seven nights, 5 PM to 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and 5 PM to 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. Fremont Street puts it a short walk from the downtown casinos rather than the Strip, which is the point.
