Italian restaurant on Carrera 40 in El Poblado, Medellin
Il Castello is an Italian restaurant on Carrera 40 in El Poblado, Medellin, serving lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. The restaurant was opened in 2000 by a Colombian-Italian family, built on the father's ties to Rome and a son's interest in cooking, and it describes its own cooking as classic Italian with quality ingredients as the priority.
Pastas and sauces are made in house, and pizzas are cooked in a traditional Italian wood oven, the forno italiano.
Lunch is served from noon to 2:30pm. Dinner runs from 6:30pm to 10pm, and from 6pm on Saturdays; the restaurant is closed on Sundays.
