Mija Artesanal · Restaurant · Medellin
Farm-to-table, seasonal, in an old-house garage
Mija Artesanal is the daytime charmer of the group - a small, seasonal Colombian kitchen with an Italian streak, tucked into the converted garage of an old house and tied to the Quinta Ladera boutique hotel, whose breakfast it also runs.
The menu is a moving target on purpose, rewritten with the seasons as an open homage to Colombian farmers and the countryside. Depending on the week you might find sourdough sandwiches, deli-style quiches, artisanal soups, hummus, choripan or a plate of French toast, all built on close, careful sourcing.
The appeal is the opposite of the city's heavier tasting rooms: honest, produce-driven food in a relaxed setting, the kind of place you actually eat at more than once.
The space is minimal and modern with a rustic touch, with indoor and outdoor seating
