Kalita is a modern Greek restaurant set in a palm garden on Kalogera Street in Mykonos Town. It lies in the garden of the Fresh boutique hotel and has been cooking here since 2010, trading the island's beach-club noise for huge palms, soft lighting, light jazz and a slow, grown-up pace that suits Chora after dark.
Chef Vaios Ntoutsias reinterprets Greek classics with international technique. A creative mini moussaka arrives with feta mousse and tomato powder; the spinach pie comes deconstructed in crisp phyllo with feta and a slow-cooked egg; and the wider menu leans on Aegean seafood such as octopus carpaccio and king prawns, alongside lamb, duck and pastas built on Greek ingredients like Grevena wild mushrooms and Mount Olympus black truffles.
The wine list is a genuine argument for Greek vineyards, deep enough to reward a long dinner, and the cocktail bar sends out drinks to open or close the night. Guests can sit in the garden, at the bar or indoors, and a private outdoor area is available on request for groups.
Service runs nightly from 7 PM until 2 AM. The address puts it within easy walking distance of the harbor, the windmills and the Matogianni shopping street, which makes it an easy anchor for a night that starts or ends deeper in Chora.
