Noema is a contemporary Greek restaurant and bar in Chora's Panachra district, built around a courtyard that was once an open-air cinema. The space mixes dark wood with oversized plants and cacti, the life of the place revolves around that central courtyard, and a separate room, the Saloon, sits alongside it.
The menu, led by culinary director Athinagoras Kostakos, is built for sharing, taverna-style, and follows what local fishermen and growers bring in. From the raw section come seabass ceviche with Mykonian fennel leche and a tuna dome with fermented tomato-truffle dressing; grilled octopus arrives with Florina pepper aivar, while smoked tarama and horta keep local produce in front. For the table there is a one-kilo slow-cooked lamb shoulder with a smoky crust, veal cheek orzo with Mykonian graviera, and whole fish grilled over the open fire.
Music is part of every night. The 2026 program puts a DJ or live act in the courtyard nightly, from the May 15 opening to the closing night on September 19, and the courtyard has room for dancing as well as dinner. The bar works with Aegean spirits and house-made ingredients in cocktails such as the Aegean Negroni and the Meltemi.
Noema is open nightly from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. through the season.
