Santanna spreads along the sand at Paraga Beach, south of Mykonos Town, where an all-day beach club and an open-air restaurant share the same stretch of shoreline. It keeps a summer season, usually May through September, and the restaurant serves from noon until midnight.
The layout runs across cabanas, loungers and daybeds set around a saltwater pool, with the DJ booth at the center of the pool area. The restaurant carries guests from a slow lunch through to dinner. On party days the pool menu can give way to a party menu from around 5 p.m., and scheduled night events with international DJs start at 6 p.m., with house, afro house and techno leading the music.
The kitchen works a Mediterranean menu built on fresh, organic produce and seafood. Start with tzatziki, taramosalata or scorpion fish ceviche, move into lobster pasta, a Black Angus tenderloin or lobster from the fish market, and there is sushi as well, including the Salmon Trilogy roll. Finish with loukoumades, served with nectar, walnuts and rose geranium ice cream.
The dress code is strictly casual chic, and flip-flops, swimwear and under-dressed looks are not permitted during events. In June, July and August, reserve as far in advance as possible.
