A Weekend in Cabo: The Itinerary, Day by Day
The weekend we would plan for a group in Cabo: a private villa as the base, a day at Mango Deck, dinners at Ilios and Rosa Negra, a VIP table at Mandala and a day on a private yacht.
Why we wrote this guide

One weekend is enough to do Cabo well, if it is planned in the right order. This is the weekend we would plan for a group: a private villa as the base, one day on Medano Beach, two dinners on the Tourist Corridor, one big night downtown and one day on the water.
It works for a long weekend away, and it bends easily for a bachelorette, a bachelor party or a birthday. Every piece of it can be booked through one request at the bottom of this page.

The weekend at a glance
- Where you stay: a private villa in Pedregal, Palmilla or along the Corridor.
- Friday: arrive, settle into the villa, and a late dinner at Ilios.
- Saturday: a day at Mango Deck on Medano Beach, dinner at Rosa Negra, then a VIP table at Mandala.
- Sunday: a private yacht out to El Arco and the coves along the Corridor.
Where to stay: a private villa

A villa gives the group the whole house, a private pool and one place to come back to between plans. Most of the larger estates in Los Cabos come staffed, with a chef available and a concierge for transport and logistics.
Pick the area by how much of the weekend you want downtown. Pedregal sits on the hill above the marina, a short drive from Medano Beach and the clubs. Palmilla and the Tourist Corridor are calmer and greener, closer to the Corridor restaurants. See the collection on the Cabo luxury villas page, and our villa guide for how the estates and the staffing work.
Friday: arrive, then dinner at Ilios

Flights land through the afternoon, so keep the first night simple and late. Ilios Greek Estiatorio opened in May 2025 at Km 5 on the Corridor, in a room built to look like the Greek islands with a view over the ocean. The kitchen serves from 5 PM to 2 AM, which suits a group that is still arriving.
Order the mezze platter for the table, then Baja oysters, the Santorini ceviche and a whole fish, with Greek wines. Evenings turn festive, with music and dancing as the night goes on.
Saturday: Mango Deck, Rosa Negra and Mandala
Saturday is the big day, so it runs from the beach to the club.

The day: Mango Deck has been on Medano Beach since 1998, with a view across the water to the Arch. By the afternoon it is a full party: live music, hosts running beach contests, rounds of tequila and buckets of beer. Groups are seated around the deck by the kind of day they want, from easy to full party mode, and the doors close at 10 PM.

The dinner: Rosa Negra at Cabo del Sol is the dinner that turns into the night. A resident DJ, live bongos, flares and a fire show fill the candlelit terrace, and the menu runs from tacos and Peruvian ceviches to cuts off the charcoal grill. It is open nightly from 5 PM to 1 AM, and plenty of the tables are there to celebrate something.

The night: Mandala is on Blvd. Lazaro Cardenas in the marina district, next door to El Squid Roe, and it is the polished room on the strip: VIP tables, bottle service and resident and guest DJs until 2:45 AM. Table reservations are held until an 11:30 PM check-in, and the dress code is smart casual, with no caps, swimwear, sandals or athletic wear, including at the tables.
Sunday: a day on the yacht

End the weekend on the water. A private yacht leaves the marina and reaches El Arco and Land's End within minutes, then rounds into the Sea of Cortez for Lover's Beach and the sea lion colony. Santa Maria and Chileno Bay, two protected coves on the Corridor, are the best snorkeling near town.
Catamarans give a group the widest, steadiest deck for a celebration and for swimming off the boat; larger motor yachts and superyachts add a crew, staterooms and a chef. Most charters run in three to six hour blocks. See our yacht charter guide for which boat fits which group.
Shaping it around the occasion
A bachelorette or a bachelor party. Keep the order and lean into Saturday. Mango Deck is a go-to for bachelor and bachelorette groups, and some of Mandala's bachelor and bachelorette packages include a chair show for the guest of honor. Only one show runs per package, and it is performed for groups that arrive before 11:30 PM, so plan the Rosa Negra dinner early enough to make it. The full plans are in our Cabo bachelorette guide and Cabo bachelor party guide.
A birthday. Rosa Negra is built for it, with a room full of tables celebrating something. Put the birthday dinner on Saturday and the table at Mandala straight after.
A quieter weekend. Swap the Mango Deck day for a second day on the water or a day at the villa, and keep Ilios for the Saturday dinner.
