Cabo spring break 2027: when it happens and where it goes
Every March, Cabo San Lucas turns into a spring break town. The crowd spends the day on Medano Beach and the night on the marina strip downtown.
LVIN runs organized four-night packages for college groups. LVIN lists four weeks for 2027:
- Week 2: March 7 to 11
- Week 3: March 14 to 18
- Week 4: March 21 to 25
- Week 5: March 28 to April 1
Its packages bundle a hotel stay with open-bar parties, a booze cruise and a concert night, and LVIN lists ME Cabo and the Medano Hotel among its hotels. The artist for each week was still marked TBD on LVIN's page at the end of October, so check there for the lineup and the package prices.

Who this guide is for
Two kinds of traveler need these dates.
The first is the group that is going. A package covers the hotel and the parties, but the beach club days, the club tables and the group dinners still have to be booked, and they fill on the same weeks.
The second is everyone else. If you want Cabo in March without a spring break crowd, the four weeks above are the ones to plan around, especially on Medano Beach and downtown.
Medano Beach, where the day happens
Medano is the swimmable beach in Cabo San Lucas, and in March it is the center of the day.
Mango Deck has been on Medano since 1998, and it is the loud one: live music, beach contests and rounds of tequila from late morning until the doors close at 10 PM. It is built for big groups.
Tamara Beach Club is on the sand at ME Cabo, one of the hotels on LVIN's list, with sunbeds, cabanas and a DJ from 11 AM to 7 PM. Groups staying at ME Cabo can walk down to it.
SUR Beach House and Corazon are the calmer choices on the same beach: a raw bar, a DJ and loungers rather than contests. The Office on the Beach has served lunch with your feet in the sand since the 1970s.
The marina strip, where the night happens
Downtown, three clubs sit within a short walk of each other by the marina.
El Squid Roe has been a downtown landmark since 1989: three floors of welded iron and old signs, room for roughly 2,000 people, and dancing on the tables until the bar closes at 3 AM.
Mandala is next door and is the polished option, with VIP tables, bottle service and a dress code. For a group that wants a table rather than a spot at the bar, Mandala is the place to start.
La Vaquita pours by the liter and plays hip-hop, reggaeton and pop until 2:45 AM. The door turns away caps, swimwear and flip-flops, so change after the beach. Crush in Plaza Bonita is the hip-hop room.
A day off the beach
Most groups spend at least one day on the water.
A package booze cruise is a shared boat. If your group would rather have its own, a private yacht charter takes you out to El Arco and the coves along the Corridor on your schedule. For larger groups, or anyone staying a full week, a private villa in Pedregal or along the Corridor gives you a pool and a kitchen of your own, a short ride from Medano.
For a group dinner that runs into the night, Rosa Negra and Chambao turn dinner into a show. Sunset Monalisa has the view of El Arco for a quieter last night.
How to plan spring break in Cabo
Pick your week first, then book the beach club days and club nights as soon as your dates are set, especially if they fall in one of the four LVIN weeks.
Give a real headcount. Large tables, cabanas and yachts can all be arranged, but not at the last minute in March.
Plan one day off the beach. A yacht day or a villa pool day breaks up a week of Medano and downtown.
