Comic-Con International runs July 23 to 26, 2026, at the San Diego Convention Center with 130,000+ attendees routing through the Gaslamp Quarter every evening. The convention compresses downtown San Diego's premium dining and nightclub calendar in a way no other week does. The official studio after-parties, the agency dinners, and the corporate suites all spill into Gaslamp from 8 PM through 2 AM. Water Grill, Ironside and Rustic Root fill first that week, so book as early as each restaurant allows, and tell our San Diego partner the night for a table at the Onyx Room, Side Bar or Parq late nightclub circuit.
Dining anchors for Comic-Con week
Water Grill in the Gaslamp Quarter is the most-booked premium seafood table of Comic-Con week. The studio-executive dinner anchor. Books 3 to 4 weeks out for the Friday and Saturday seatings. Ironside Fish and Oyster in Little Italy runs the modern seafood-and-cocktails format with the agency-dinner crowd. Rustic Root in the Gaslamp runs the New American comfort-premium format with the late rooftop pivot.

A peak Comic-Con week looks like: Wednesday Water Grill early plus Onyx Room late, Thursday Ironside plus Side Bar, Friday convention day plus Rustic Root plus Parq, Saturday convention day plus Born N Raised plus Pool House rooftop daytime plus Onyx late, Sunday Coco Maya brunch plus slower premium evening. The Friday Water Grill seating during Comic-Con is the single hardest premium reservation of the San Diego year. A group of six routing from the convention center at 9:30 PM should book well ahead.

The official studio buyouts shrink premium daybed availability.
