Coco Maya is a rooftop restaurant and bar at 1660 India Street in Little Italy, serving modern American coastal cooking, brunch every day and craft cocktails. It opened in June 2022, and the space is built around an open-air glass atrium with a retractable roof, where a teal tile bar with a marble counter and rattan chairs sits under hanging botanicals and arched architecture.
Outside, the elevated patio sets pink striped umbrellas and tropical greenery against the Little Italy skyline, and well-behaved dogs are welcome there. Indoors, the dining room has rattan chairs, a hand-woven ceiling, illuminated shelving and a tropical mural, and it doubles as a private room for rehearsal dinners and group events.
The kitchen leans on fresh seafood and elevated classics. At dinner that means a grilled prime ribeye with roasted carrots and charred tomato, lobster, oxtail and avocado tacos with cotija, drunken mussels in a garlic-wine broth, and a Maine lobster roll. Brunch brings a Lobster Benedict, a Pork Belly Benedict and chicken and waffles with guava syrup, with a Bloody Maya made with mezcal. The cocktail list draws on agave and tropical coastal flavors, led by house originals like the Coconut Marg, the Maya Marg and a Marquesitas Espresso Martini.
Brunch runs until 3 p.m. daily, starting at 9 a.m. Friday through Sunday, happy hour runs weekdays from 4 to 6 p.m., and dinner starts at 5 p.m., running until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
