Tucked into the creative heart of Kettner Boulevard at 2210 Kettner Blvd, this is the flagship of the Puffer Malarkey Collective: a full-block dining room defined by an open wood-fired hearth, vaulted ceilings, and the kind of room energy that pulls every occasion upward.
Since October 2024, Culinary Director Aidan Owens has led the kitchen. The Australian chef, raised on a farm near Byron Bay and trained across some of San Diego's most demanding kitchens, brings a deep command of whole-animal butchery, live-fire technique, and local sourcing that sharpens what Herb & Wood was always built to do.
