The Pool House is the rooftop pool lounge at Pendry San Diego, set on the hotel's third floor at the corner of J Street and Fifth Avenue, above the Gaslamp Quarter's famed Fifth Avenue. The space is light, contemporary and open-air, moving between indoor and outdoor seating, with the city skyline around the pool. Guest access runs daily from 9 AM to 9 PM, and poolside food and drink service runs from 11 AM until sunset.
The mood is a relaxed lounge built around a signature bar, hosting daytime and evening events for poolside guests. Mondays bring Industry Mondays from 4 PM to sunset, a walk-in night with its own menu of drink specials, carne asada nachos, sweet chili wings and the smoked turkey club.
Cabanas hold up to 8 guests and come with a bottle of rose, a seasonal fruit platter, a flat-screen TV, ceiling fans, shaded and sunny seating and dedicated service. Daybeds are set for two, with VIP service, bottled water and a priority spot at the pool. Both are available daily to hotel guests and Monday through Thursday to outside guests, from 11 AM until 5 PM, or later on days without an evening event.
The kitchen leans Southern California: Baja shrimp cocktail, Baja fish tacos, bigeye tuna poke, a Wagyu burger and acai bowls, with specialty cocktails by the glass or pitcher and Moet, Veuve Clicquot and Chandon by the bottle.
