Vespertine · Restaurant · Los Angeles

Jordan Kahn's immersive Culver City restaurant, made with architect Eric Owen Moss and artists.
Vespertine is chef Jordan Kahn's restaurant at 3599 Hayden Avenue in Culver City, and it holds two MICHELIN stars in the 2026 California selection, which records the cooking as contemporary. The restaurant's own standing description of itself is a gastronomical experience seeking to disrupt the course of the modern restaurant, and that is the register it works in.
It began as Kahn's vision and took shape as a collaboration with the architect Eric Owen Moss and a group of renowned artists, assembled to re-imagine and explore the experience of dining. The convergence of food, art, architecture, music and sculpture is woven through the whole of it rather than added to a conventional room afterwards.
Kahn's cooking sits at the center of that convergence and sets the shape of the evening, with the building, the sound and the art carrying it alongside the plates. The restaurant presents the result as a single immersive, multi-sensory event, which is the frame it asks guests to arrive with.
The restaurant sits on Hayden Avenue in Culver City, and dinner runs Tuesday through Saturday, with arrivals from 6:00 pm and the last at 8:30 pm.
