Bestia has been one of Los Angeles's hardest reservations since the night it opened in 2012, when Ori Menashe and Genevieve Gergis took over a vacant warehouse down a dimly lit alley at the edge of downtown.
They were not following the Arts District dining trend; they started it, and the scene that exists today traces a direct line back to what they built here. The room does much of the work, with exposed brick, steel beams, raw concrete, and an open kitchen anchored by a wood-burning hearth, industrial bones that somehow never feel cold. Most nights the chatter fills the space faster than the playlist.
