Mamba Negra is the moody, high-altitude counterpart to Medellin's polished tasting rooms, a rooftop restaurant and bar at Calle 2 #20-50 in El Poblado with the city spread out below. The kitchen cooks over embers and charcoal, working Spanish, Asian and Latin American influences into a fire-driven menu, by the bar's own description.
The bar is the headline. Under Juan David Zapata, Mamba Negra entered The World's 50 Best Bars at No. 81 in 2025 and climbed to No. 22 in 2026. Its Mamba Lab program pours a set experience of eight tiny cocktails, meant to be worked through in sequence as a tasting flight.
The room leans into the theme of its name, dark and moody with a snake motif carried through the design. It is one of the city's genuine see-and-be-seen rooms, and the crowd treats a table here as an event, so dress for it.
