A forest-view room that turns dinner into a night out
Runico is one of the more theatrical rooms to open in Medellin lately, and it has quickly become a landmark on the El Poblado hillside.
The concept is a single space that transforms through the day: a business lunch that softens into an intimate dinner and then tips into a DJ-and-cocktail night. Come for the food, stay for the shift in energy; it is built to keep you there.
Floor-to-ceiling windows open onto forest, the concrete work is custom, and a carved rune stone weighing more than a ton anchors the middle of the room like an altar. The whole thing is framed as a ritual of ancestral sensations, and the design leans all the way in.
The cooking backs the theater: portobello and provolone arancini, corn-and-octopus montaditos, a thirty-hour beef morrillo with chontaduro, and a Caribbean-rice duck. Plates are made to share as the table fills and the music rises. It reads stylish and vibey, not hushed, so it suits a group that wants dinner and a night in one address. Weekends move fast; book ahead. Book on OpenTable through the link below.
