Kalua sits in the protected bay of Paraga Beach, where the shape of the cove keeps the water calm whatever the wind is doing, and a large rock rises from the sea right in front of the club. Kalua first came to Mykonos in 2001 as a nightclub in town, moved to its current spot on Paraga Beach in 2003, and has recently been renovated.
It is open every day from 10 AM to 10 PM, and the beach is laid out in three sections. VIP bungalows, large shared beds on the front line of sand just below the main restaurant, sit at the heart of the party. Pairs of classic sunbeds with parasols fill the middle, and front row cabanas for groups sit right by the water. Food and drinks come to the sunbed from a beach menu, and massages are given on the beach.
Afternoons are when Kalua changes gear. From around 4 PM the resident DJ and a seasonal live performer take over, the main bar beside the DJ fills up, and groups can order theme-package shows performed just for their table. Bottle service, a long wine and cocktail list and a shisha menu keep the bungalows going into the evening.
The restaurant pairs Mediterranean fusion cooking with a full Japanese menu of sushi, signature rolls and omakase selections, and guests can pick their fish from the fresh catch display. Tell us the day and your group size, and our Mykonos partner will arrange the daybed or cabana.
