Tabu sits in Chora, in the center of Mykonos Town, as the island sister of Tabu London on Dover Street in Mayfair. Its concept and ambience take their cue from Japanese culture, carried into a setting the club describes as unique and sophisticated.
The music is R&B, hip-hop, Afro beat and rap, and the club opens every night of the season from midnight to 4 a.m. The crowd is international and demanding, from celebrities to travelers out for a big night, all there for the music, and the room keeps going until the lights come up at four.
Walk-ins are welcome, but table bookings get priority at the door, and capacity limits apply, especially on weekends. Every guest must be 18 or over with valid government-issued photo ID, and entry is always at the discretion of management, so for a group on a busy night a table is the surest way in, and it keeps everyone together from the first bottle to the last track.
