Rumour · Nightclub · London
A members-club rebrand of Tabu in the Mayfair basement that was once Mahiki, with a strict no-phone policy.
Rumour is the official rebrand of Tabu London, and it occupies the same subterranean room at 1 Dover Street in Mayfair, a few minutes' walk from Green Park. The site has a long West End history: before Tabu, the basement housed Mahiki, and the address has been a late-night Mayfair fixture across all three identities.
The room has been rebuilt rather than redressed. It is small by design, with deep red velvet booths, low lighting and a layout that keeps everyone within sight of the floor, and the operators have pointed to the Raspoutine rooms in Paris as the reference. Capacity is in the low hundreds, which is the point rather than a limitation: the room is positioned as a private members club and trades on being hard to get into rather than large.
The policy worth knowing before you arrive is the phone rule. Rumour enforces a strict no-smartphone and no-photography policy on the floor, so the night is not documented and guests are expected to put the phone away. Music is open format rather than a single genre.
Doors are Wednesday through Saturday from 11pm, running to around 3:30am, and the club is closed Sunday through Tuesday. Dress is smart and the door is selective.
Tell us the night and your group size, and our London partner will arrange the table.

Frequently asked about Rumour
How do I book a table at Rumour in London?
Submit the reservation request on this page and our London partner confirms your table, quotes any minimum spend in writing, and coordinates arrival before you commit. Your host opens the door on arrival so you walk straight to a ready table.
How much is a table at Rumour?
A table at Rumour depends on the night (weekends and event dates price highest), your group size, and where the table sits relative to the DJ booth and dance floor. Rather than a price that changes weekly, our London partner quotes your exact minimum spend in writing when confirming, so you know the cost before you arrive.
What is the dress code at Rumour?
Rumour keeps an upscale nightlife dress code: stylish, dressed-up attire. Avoid athletic wear, gym shoes, and overly casual looks. Your host manages the door with your table, and we confirm the current policy with your booking.
What time should I arrive at Rumour?
Table guests generally arrive as the room fills, with the peak on weekends. Your MyRSVP host coordinates a specific arrival window so you are not waiting in line.
