Hippie Fish stretches along Agios Ioannis beach on the southwest coast of Mykonos, a beachfront restaurant and a day-to-evening beach club in one, open daily from 9 AM until midnight. It is built in Cycladic white with a modern finish, with the sand and the Aegean only a few steps from the tables.
The cooking is Mediterranean with a strong Greek and seafood accent, built on ingredients from the Aegean and Greek farms bought fresh each day, and the menu shifts with the season. A wide wine list backs it up, and shisha comes out after the meal for anyone staying on. Lunch runs long and easy over the water, while dinner arrives with the sunset, since Agios Ioannis faces west toward the silhouette of Delos across the strait.
The mood blends bohemian ease with a polished, luxe finish. Sunbeds and umbrellas line the beach, with massages and a VIP area along the shore, a boutique sits on site, and the space doubles as a setting for weddings, parties and private dining.
Live DJs and artists set the soundtrack, and on Sunday Greek Nights the evening fills with traditional Greek music and dancing. On other nights it is the sort of place where a slow afternoon drifts into an unhurried dinner.
