Postino Highland is the Old Town Scottsdale outpost of Arizona's original wine cafe, and its room is unmistakable. The building was a 1960s Valley National Bank branch designed by architect Frank Henry, who later apprenticed under Frank Lloyd Wright, reworked into an industrial wine cafe with soaring ceilings, warm light, and a wall installation built from more than 10,000 vintage matchbooks collected over the years by guests. It reads polished but easygoing, the kind of space that works for a first date, a group catch-up, or a slow glass before the night gets loud a few blocks south.
