Chef Russell LaCasce's eclectic restaurant inside Hotel Valley Ho in Old Town Scottsdale
ZuZu is the signature restaurant inside Hotel Valley Ho, the mid-century modern landmark that has anchored Old Town Scottsdale since 1956. A shaded courtyard patio moves the meal outdoors. The restaurant takes its name from Rosalyn 'Rosie' Bennett Lyon, also known as ZuZu, a fantastic cook who believed food is better shared with the people you love, and that spirit runs through the menu.
Executive Chef Russell LaCasce, who brings more than 25 years behind the stove, runs a kitchen he describes as elevated but playful, built on bold flavor pairings. Brunch, served daily until 2:30pm, brings breakfast fried rice with pork belly and chili crunch and a Hawaiian ahi tuna poke bowl. From 5:30pm the chef-driven dinner plates arrive, such as Terra Heritage wagyu beef carpaccio and scallops casino with Iberico chorizo, all paired with handcrafted cocktails.
The signature experience is Chef Roulette, a six-course surprise tasting from LaCasce with select libation pairings for parties of two to eight guests aged 21 and over. Save room for the Grand Finale, a chef-inspired mini cake with artisan ice cream and a celebratory sparkler, with a new flavor from Pastry Chef Maria Arenas every month.
The hotel marks its 70th anniversary through 2026 with the Vintage '56 cocktail at ZuZu. Happy hour runs Monday through Thursday from 4 to 6pm, and live music plays on select Friday and Saturday nights from 7 to 10pm. Reservations are booked directly through the restaurant's Tock page.
