Riley's Fish & Steak sits at 200 Burrard Street in downtown Vancouver, a few blocks from the harbor, with a nautical-inspired interior of polished surfaces built around a dedicated Oyster Bar. The kitchen runs a steak and seafood menu built on Canadian prime beef and Pacific seafood. Current steaks include the 14 oz Canadian Prime Ribeye, 12 oz Prime Striploin and 8 oz Prime Tenderloin, each finished with caramelized shallot, tallow butter and crispy onions, with pan seared scallops or grilled tiger prawns available as add-ons. Chilled seafood towers built for sharing, The Grand and The King, stack oysters, prawns, lobster and crab with mignonette and cocktail sauce.
Service runs across lunch, weekend brunch, dinner and a daily happy hour, and weekday lunch adds a rotating prix fixe with a different dish each day. A live musician plays Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, plus Saturday and Sunday brunch, giving the dining room a social lift on weekends.
The room works as well for a business lunch as for a bigger dinner, with the same waterfront outlook and polished interior throughout.
