West Oak occupies 1035 Mainland Street in Yaletown, Vancouver's food quarter, steps from the False Creek seawall and the Yaletown-Roundhouse SkyTrain station. The room runs to white oak surfaces, exposed beams, and an open show kitchen where guests can watch the cooks work, with a patio that looks out over the neighborhood.
The kitchen leans on Ocean Wise certified seafood, filleted in-house, alongside certified organic beef from Blue Goose Cattle Company. Lunch runs Monday through Friday from 11am to 3pm, weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm, and dinner is served every day, including Wednesday, when the wine list runs 40 percent off by the bottle.
Beyond the sourcing, the kitchen works in seafood and steaks, backed by a wine list the restaurant describes as always evolving and a bar program of hand-crafted cocktails and local craft beer.
WestOak has picked up OpenTable Diner's Choice recognition every year from 2022 through 2025. Reservations run through OpenTable, with walk-ins welcome at the bar when the dining room is full.
