Sound-Bar is a two-level River North nightclub at 226 W Ontario St, spread across 20,000 square feet. The European minimalist design reads modern and clean, with flat-screen monitors, laser lights and a high-end sound system keeping the focus on the DJ booth.
The layout gives you room to move. A 4,000-square-foot dance floor anchors the main room, while nine bars, four boutique lounges and an exclusive VIP Room spread the crowd out and shift the tempo depending on where you stand. Floor-to-ceiling video projection walls carry visuals through the club, and each area can also be rented out on its own for a private event.
Touring DJs headline Friday and Saturday nights. Recent and upcoming dates include Fedde Le Grand, Krewella, Cat Dealers, Goddard, Elephante, Modestep, Pawlowski, James Carter and Bassjackers, and select Saturdays add daytime events that run from 4 PM to 9 PM.
Sound-Bar runs Friday 10 PM to 4 AM and Saturday 10 PM to 5 AM, closed Sunday through Thursday. Tell us the night and your group size, and our Chicago team will arrange the table.
