Cindy's Rooftop sits on the 13th floor of the Chicago Athletic Association hotel, an 1893 Venetian Gothic landmark on Michigan Avenue in the Loop. Named in honor of Chicago philanthropist Marian "Cindy" Pritzker, the restaurant is set under a glass atrium, with sweeping views of Millennium Park and Lake Michigan.
The terrace runs year-round, so the view carries from weekend brunch through late night. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday until 2 PM, with monkey bread and chilaquiles, lunch runs weekdays until 2 PM, and dinner is served from 5 to 10 PM, with East Coast oysters, plates to share such as Bar Harbor mussels and burrata, a 16-ounce ribeye au poivre and branzino. Bar snacks and a late-night menu fill in the rest of the day.
The cocktail list is built for the setting, with house drinks like City in a Garden and Cha-Cha-Chicago, spirit-free cocktails including a non-alcoholic spritz, a DIY mimosa at brunch and a deep list of agave, whiskey and amaro.
Cindy's is open Monday through Thursday from 11 AM to 11 PM, Friday from 11 AM to midnight, Saturday from 10 AM to midnight and Sunday from 10 AM to 11 PM. Reservations open 14 days in advance, and walk-ins are welcome.
