The J. Parker is the cocktail and small-plates rooftop on the top floor of Hotel Lincoln in Lincoln Park, where the park, Lake Michigan and the downtown skyline come together in one view.
The signature feature is the atrium, enclosed by a fully retractable glass roof that opens or closes in under 90 seconds, so the space stays comfortable in any weather. The atrium holds 140 seats and the indoor room another 55. It is stylish but unpretentious: family-friendly by day, then 21 and over Thursday through Saturday from 8pm, and on weekends DJ Ora and friends set the rooftop mood after dark.
The menu mixes Midwest flavors with dishes inspired by Chicago's neighborhoods, from spicy tuna cups and burnt end bao to a double patty smash burger, while the bar pours signature cocktails and Champagne by the glass. Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm with bottomless mimosas, and happy hour runs Sunday through Thursday from 4 to 6pm.
